Privacy Policy

Last updated September 4, 2026

This policy explains what data SplitEasy ("we", "us") collects, why, and how it's handled. We don't sell your data, and we don't run ads or third-party analytics/tracking SDKs in the app.

What we collect

Account info. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address (or Apple's private relay address, if you choose to hide your email) to identify your account and attach your bills to it.

Receipt photos. Photos you scan or upload are sent to an AI model to read the items, tax, and tip, and are stored so you can view them again later on any device you sign into.

Bill data. Items, prices, who was assigned what, drafts in progress, and finished bill history are stored under your account.

Payment handles. If you enter a Venmo username or Zelle contact, we remember it so it's pre-filled next time and included on the bills you share.

How we use it

Solely to run the app: reading your receipts, calculating splits, saving your history and drafts, and letting you pick up where you left off. Receipt photos are processed by an AI vision model to extract items and totals — this happens automatically and isn't reviewed by a person as part of normal operation.

Where it's stored

Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services (Cognito, DynamoDB, and S3) under an account identifier tied to your sign-in, isolated from other users' data. We don't share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time from the account menu. To delete your account and all associated data (bill history, drafts, receipt photos, and payment info), email aijob@ai-job.info from the address on your account.

Children

SplitEasy is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
